Different Between the Ram 1500 and the Ram 1500 Classic

Different Between the Ram 1500 and the Ram 1500 Classic

Have you ever wondered what's the main deferences in features and performance between the all-new RAM 1500 and the Ram 1500 Classic? Well, we decided to take a deep dive into this and compared the two to see what these two amazing models offer.

Different Between the 2019 Ram 1500 and the Ram 1500 Classic

Here's the Rundown

Basically, Chrysler decided to update its Ram 1500 line of pickup trucks for 2019, but also produced a 2019 edition based on prior model years, as well. Since its debut in 2012, the Ram 1500 has seen several upgrades. The Ram 1500 Classic is the next iteration of the 2018 model year, with some minor changes, in the same manner, that the 2018 model followed the 2017 Ram 1500. The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic comes in seven trim levels - ST, Express, SXT, SXT Plus, SLT, Night Edition, and Warlock, with several available packages. The all-new Ram 1500 comes with a range of updated features. It's available in eight trim levels - Tradesman, SXT, Big Horn, Sport, Rebel, Laramie, Laramie Long Horn, and Limited - and a wide variety of available configurations, which makes customizing the Ram pickup easier than ever before.

What's Different Between the Ram 1500 and the Ram 1500 Classic?

At first glance, it's fairly easy to spot the differences between the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic and the new 2019 Ram 1500. Chrysler replaced the Ram's traditional crosshair front grille with one of six unique designs based on the selected trim. Moreover, the new 1500 also features a lighter, longer, and wider body with sharp lines for improved aerodynamics, and a forward-leaning front grille opening. A "Classic" badge makes the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic models easy to identify. Ram also updated the RamBox Cargo Management System by raising the RamBox by 3.81 centimeters and building it right into the bed rails on the new version of the 1500. The All-New Ram 1500 comes in Quad or Crew cab compared to the Classic's Regular, Quad, and Crew configurations.

2019 Ram 1500 vs 2019 Ram 1500 Classic interior look and exterior design

For power, the new Ram 1500 comes with pretty much the same options as Classic models, with trim selection as the determining factor in which the engine ultimately winds up in the truck. Ram offers a choice of three engines - a 5.7L HEMI V8 engine, a 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel engine, or the standard 3.6L Pentastar V6. Ram 1500 Classic editions, as well as the all-new Ram 1500,  are available with 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrains, with availability depending on trim selection.

While Ram 1500 Classic models come loaded with plenty of interior comforts, the new Ram 1500 takes things up a notch, for sure. Both models at one trim or another offer typical luxury features like heated leather seating, Ram's Keyless Enter 'n Go with proximity entry and push-button start, luxury full-leather high-back front bucket seats, and a Uconnect 4C NAV multimedia centre with a 12-inch touchscreen and navigation. Thanks to its 102-millimeter longer Crew Cab, the all-new Ram 1500 can accommodate a dual-pane sunroof, a feature not available on Classic editions. The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 also won Motortrend's "Truck of the Year" award for 2019.

In the end, both vehicles offer legendary Ram power, reliability, and performance. Buyers who love their prior years Ram 1500 will probably be more inclined to opt for the Ram 1500 Classic Edition. Those who can't get enough of the latest and greatest will almost certainly go for the all-new version of the Ram 1500.
