The Ram 1500 is a hugely successful truck, selling in impressive numbers partly because there's a model available to suit every task. From the no-nonsense Tradesman trim to the astonishingly powerful TRX which takes the pickup firmly into high-performance territory, the Ram 1500 range of trucks spans the entire spectrum.
But the lineup is set to become even more extensive with the release of a new upgrade package, available only for the 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn / Lone Star Crew Cab 4x4 trim. Dubbed the Mopar '21 Ram 1500 Special Edition, it's a strictly limited option that will be available to just 40 lucky buyers in Canada.
The Mopar '21 package price is set to be US$8,500 on top of the Big Horn / Lone Star retail price, and here's what you'll get for your money.
Upgrades and Accessories
The Mopar '21 package adds or upgrades over 600 items over the standard Ram 1500 Big Horn / Lone Star trim. The interior is fitted with exclusive premium cloth seats complete with light grey stitching, finished off with Molle bags and an embroidered Mopar logo on the seat backs.
Exterior looks are refined with black decals, a gloss black grille surround, and black exhaust tips. The accent theme is continued with the addition of black off-road style running boards, while black-painted mirrors and door handles add to the overall darkly powerful effect. And as a final flourish, the special edition will be available in a choice of four colours: Bright White, Billet Silver, Hydro Blue, and Flame Red.
But the Mopar upgrade is about much more than just looks. A spray-in bed liner protects both your truck and its payload contents, along with adjustable tie-downs and a body-coloured one-piece tonneau cover. What's more, capability is enhanced by the standard addition of high-quality tow hooks and dual-trailer camera prep to make increased visibility a breeze.

To confirm that you're one of only 40 Canadian owners, you'll receive a personalized owner's kit containing a custom-made metal certificate of authenticity, inscribed with a unique serialized truck build number.
Legendary Power Under the Hood
While the Mopar '21 package is an attractive upgrade to style, comfort, and utility, it's based on some excellent engineering under the hood. The special edition is built around the legendary 5.7L HEMI V8 engine making a huge 395 horsepower and 410lb-ft of torque, with the ample output passed through a silky eight-speed automatic transmission to all-wheel drive as standard.
